YOUNG LOVELY GIRL IS A SHY SWEETHEART WHO GAINS CONFIDENCE STEP BY STEP... AND THEN REWARDS HER HUMAN WITH LOVE, CONVERSATION, AFFECTION AND PURRS.

Hello friends, my name is Winter! I am a young girl of three (3) years old and I am one curious cutie! Look at my lovely face - both halves are so pretty, making a fabulous whole. I am a petite calico/tortie girl with a snowy white tuxedo and bright green eyes who came from another shelter because my King Street Cats friends could see what a wonderful companion I'm going to make and that I'd stand a much better chance of finding my forever home here.

Although I had somewhat of a rocky start in life, I have been blessed with a sweet personality and gentle disposition. I really am what you could call a very nice girl! I am dreaming of finding a gentle human (or humans) who will welcome me into my forever home with patience and understanding about how it feels to be shy and unsure. It won't be long before I'm lounging around like one of the family - because that's really what I want to be.

Right now I'm in a wonderful King Street Cats foster home with several older kitties and I feel safe! Ilooove to spend my time gazing out the window from my new perch in a nice cat tree. It's not a very tall one and it's got a little round "bed" on top with low edges so I can curl into a kitty circle and purr my afternoons away. I also love to play! I chase toys and can amuse myself with my catch for 10 minutes at a time. I also love bugs! Most cats chase them or simply alert the human staff to their presence, but me? I capture them and eat them! Mmmmmm, protein!

I'm shy and unsure of new surroundings at first, so what I'd love is to find a home where you start me off in my own small, safe space (a spare room, perhaps) and spend time with me so that I can get my bearings and gain confidence.

Next we could begin exploring larger sections of your home until I become confident and feel ready to explore even more! My foster mom loves me and has worked so much with me so that I can blossom into my bery best me! She'll be more than happy to consult with you and advise you on how to introduce me to my new surroundings so that I can shower you with my wonderful purrs that much sooner.

I am very affectionate toward my trusted person - I love to be petted and I will stand on my hind legs to request some affection from you! My foster mom calls me a "flopper" because when I get happy and want you to love me I just flop onto my side right at your feet! Sometimes it's more like a forward roll. I love to talk with my foster mom. I chirp at her and wait for her to ask me questions - so I can give her my answers with more chirps. I also love to sleep on her bed at night but sometimes the other foster cats here beat me to it - I would love to sleep on the bed of my own special human when I get to my forever home.

If you are looking for a young girl with striking good looks to bring sweetness and mellow companionship into your home, please come and meet me! You can start by sending an email to contact@kingstreetcats.org and asking for me, Winter. I will be most grateful!

Sweetly yours,
Winter
