SWEET KITTEN BOY WANTS TO COME OUT OF HIS SHELL

Hello! My name’s Pedro, and I am a lovely, shy, sweet kitten. My siblings Juan, Rosa, and Maria and I were found outside all alone in May and have been living with a nice foster family ever since.

I’m the shyest one in my litter. But that’s not saying much; my siblings are crazy love bugs! It took my foster parents a long time to get me to like being petted. I’m still a little afraid to ask for love: when my siblings are being petted, I’ll walk around my foster mom, just out of arm’s reach. Even when I was scared of people, I was very gentle. I would hiss at my foster parents (I don’t anymore; it embarrasses me to even talk about it) but I would never,  ever  hurt them. I’m great with kids and even friends with the family dog! I can’t wait to be adopted along with one of my siblings or another kitten (hopefully Maria) at the shelter.

My personal best friend is my sister Maria. When I’m nervous, she will always come and hang out with me. She helps me so much! If we could be adopted together, that would make me oh so happy. Because after all, you need two kittens… why not get an awesome love bug in the package?

Why two kittens, you ask? Well, everyone is much happier that way.  There are many benefits for both humans and felines when adopting two compatible cats together. This is especially true for young, active kittens like us. Same-species companionship greatly enhances our quality of life. We provide each other with stimulating play. We moderate each other's behavior. We burn off our energy together - this is very important for indoor housecats. We provide each other with grooming services free of charge. We sleep, cuddle and snuggle together. We comfort each other and keep each other engaged when you are off doing the things that keep you away from us.

In return, you get twice the love, affection and happiness. You have peace of mind knowing that when you have the leave us, we'll be fine together until you return.

I’m a sleek black cat just like my siblings Juan and Maria (but not Rosa-- she’s a fluffball). In our squad pics, I’m the one wearing the snazzy blue collar. WAIT until you see my big round bright blue eyes... we all have them... your heart will melt.

Which reminds me: because I look so much like my siblings, you should probably get some collars if you adopt us together. We look really good in bright colors… just sayin’...

When I was really little, my foster parents took me to the vet because my pupils were slightly different sizes. They said that it was nothing to worry about-- just a tiny bit of scar tissue on one eye. I don’t notice it and I promise that you won’t either.

Please come and meet me! To schedule an appointment, email  contact@kingstreetcats.org . And while you’re at it, why don’t you check out my siblings’ profiles? You’ll love them too!

Sweetly yours,
Pedro
