Charming Curly Joe (aka CJ) – the most perfectly imperfect cat you will find.

Sweet Curly Joe was found by a Good Samaritan in Baltimore when he was just a baby, walking around outside with a very badly broken wrist that had been untreated for quite some time, causing him severe pain.  KSC took him in with open arms and took him to the vet where it was determined that he would need to have that leg amputated.  After surgery, CJ has been living with a wonderful foster home who took the time to write up the below description: 

With his deeply expressive eyes and cottony soft fur, CJ’s 3 legs and clipped ear all just add to this sweet boy’s charm. And boy will CJ try to charm you. When he first sees you, he’ll start by hopping up on his back legs to reach out for you to pick him up for a cuddle. Once up in your arms, be prepared for a good face rub and nose-bonk kisses from CJ to let you know how much he missed you. While you’re sitting or sleeping, CJ likes to curl right up beside you for a good loving snuggle. Curly Joe has so much love to give and shares it in abundance with everyone around him.

But love is not all that CJ has to give – this guy is still a playful kitten born in May who loves nothing better than a good game of fetch the mouse. That’s right, CJ doesn’t seem to know he’s a cat and loves to play fetch! Not slowed down one bit, he will run after the tossed mouse with reckless abandon, capture it in his mouth and bring it back to place near or on your foot. His foster parents have not yet found a limit to CJ’s desire to play fetch; he’s up for a game for as long as you are.

CJ is a very sweet and loving kitty that would be good in just about any home environment. He
definitely likes to interact with his humans and might be happiest in a smaller location where he can always be around you. He is very active and mobile – he jumps onto beds, and climbs and plays on his cat condo, so stairs would not be a problem. CJ is happy on his own, but his attempts to interact with his foster parents’ cats underneath the door suggest he’s also potentially interested in having feline companion(s).

On a more personal note, after 7 years of fostering over 30 cats/kittens, we believe CJ will go down in our family folk lore as being one of the sweetest, most lovable cats ever. If we did not already have six cats of our own, we would adopt him in a heartbeat!
