THIS SWEET, GENTLE SILVERY BOY HAS AN UNBELIEVABLE STORY TO TELL (FIV+ AND POSITIVELY ADOPTABLE)

Hello friends, my name is Claus. I'm an extremely handsome and sweet eight (8) year old kitty (as of 2017) with an unforgettable story.

I have gorgeous silvery tabby markings on long, soft, silky fur. I purr at the slightest touch, love head bumps, and have quickly become a favorite with the King Street Cats volunteers. If you have treats I will just about turn myself inside out for you. I amuse myself with play and love to look out windows.

So, what is my unbelievable story?

I was thrown into a box which was then taped shut and abandoned outside a Toys for Tots location. Can you imagine: I am eight years old and was thrown away the week before Christmas 2017.

Fortunately, I was found and taken to an area shelter. I was very scared and unsure of myself when I arrived -  can you blame me? I preferred burrowing under blankets to being petted, but underneath my scared exterior the shelter staff knew there was a sweet cat wanting to be loved.

The shelter put out the call to King Street Cats and asked them to bring me into the KSC family and help me find my confidence again and my forever home. Of course, King Street Cats said YES.

I was missing some teeth and needed to have some dental work done - but thanks to your help and support KSC provided me with all the care I needed to get me back on all four paws again.

I am also FIV+.  FIV stands for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. It is * not * human HIV. Humans * cannot * catch FIV. Dogs * cannot * catch FIV. KSC has adopted out many FIV+ kitties who are now living happily as cherished family members.

It’s truly amazing that despite the cruel way in which I was treated, I still love people. All I want now is a home where I can regain my confidence, and give and receive the gifts of love, peace, and comfort.

I think you'll enjoy some of the impressions shared by my KSC volunteer friends after meeting me:

  • "Love this boy!"
  • "He looks adorable!"
  • "What a beautiful, sweet soul."
  • "I met him tonight and he is so sweet; definitely a lucky family who adopts him."

Please share my story with trusted friends and gentle kitty lovers to help me find the special purrson or people I've been dreaming of to be their one and only. If you use Facebook, you can share my story easily: visit King Street Cats on Facebook and find me as the Cat of the Day on December 23, 2017 - then share away.

Despte what I've been through I am still  the loving, gentle, sweet and handsome Claus. I am not a lap cat, but in return for your patience, love, encouragement and support I promise to be your faithful companion and give you a reason to smile each time you walk into the room where I'm waiting for you.

To meet me or learn more about me, please send an email to contact@kingstreetcats.org and ask for me, Claus. I am happy and hopeful about our future together.

Gratefully yours,
Claus
