OUR WHOLE STAFF IS CHEERING FOR THIS LOVING, SWEET BOY WHO'S SO SAD WITHOUT A HOME OF HIS OWN Hello friends! My name is Chubby. My mission in life to be your cherished sweetheart, always by your side proving quiet and affectionate companionship. I succeeded at my mission until recently when my human became ill and I found myself at a shelter in Baltimore. It was immediately apparent to the shelter staff how much I missed my home - and how much I missed the love I knew there. I was so sad! I would lift my head hopefully for loving head rubs and chin scratches. I appreciated them. I would raise my back end for some lower back rubs. I loved these too. Then I'd realize that I wasn't at home but rather in a shelter crate and I'd sink back down. King Street Cats answered the call to welcome a loving, gentle but very sad boy into their family. They promised me that my forever home was around the corner and told me how KSC fans are the best cat lovers. I listened carefully until I finally understood that I'd soon have many fans reading about me, telling their cat-loving friends, sharing me on social media, and helping me find my new home and fulfill my mission again! I am gentle, quiet, affectionate and quick to soak up all the gentle and soft-spoken love my volunteer friends give me. I respond very well to the attention of kind humans and it's obvious that I want to form a bond. The most important thing for me now is to find the safe, loving home environment where I can come out of my shell and get back to the business of thriving. I am seven (7) years old which - as cat lovers can attest - is a fine age! Many people seek to adopt younger cats, but I know many more seek to adopt the best cat - the one whose rescue will have a big impact and make the world a nicer place for me and you and everyone who's been involved in the journey that brings us together. I am a plush, silky boy with medium length jet black fur and a small snowy white "bowtie." I have big bright spring green eyes. Now we'll answer the big question: just how did I get my name? It's because I have THE chubbiest, sweetest, and most adorable cheeks you will ever see on the face of a handsome boy in search of a loving home! Get ready to smile when you see me! Please understand that if you meet me on a busy adoption day, I may feel shy or overwhelmed. This is not indicative of how I am when I feel secure in my own home environment. Everyone's cheering for me and keeping their fingers, paws and tails crossed for the moment when that special purrson comes to say, "I think Chubby's the boy for me."
