Hi my name is Queenie. In March of 2019 I found myself outside all alone and very pregnant. Lucky for me a wonderful person found me and took me to King Street Cats. I was immediately sent to a fabulous foster home. Just three short days later I gave birth to five beautiful kittens. One beautiful little girl (who looks just like me) and four handsome little boys. My first foster family was wonderful and took great care of me and my babies. Once the kittens were older and ready to find their furever homes, King Street Cats realized I needed to have a quieter space to recover and get ready to find my furever home. I went to another foster home where I had a quiet room to myself to relax and get rested up so I could be ready when my furever family came to adopt me. My foster mom was quite persistent in wanting to pet me, which I was not a fan of at first. After a while I realized how much I like getting my head, cheeks and neck scratched and I started to purr (and drool) when my foster mom would pet me. I would even pull her hand back to me when she tried to stop!
I am still a bit shy when initially meeting new people. If you talk to me a little bit first I am much more receptive to being petted. My foster mom used to talk to me and sing me silly songs. I’m not a lap cat now but who knows what will happen once I find my furever home. I do like sitting close to my purrson.
