CURRENTLY IN FOSTER

Hi Everyone, we are Groot and Nebula, nice to meet you!

Where should we start...first we decided to have a spokescat, so Groot will tell you most of our story.

Ok, well here goes... We were found with our brother Drax in a city by a very kind person who took one look at us knew we needed help, quickly and got us to the big city shelter.

You see, we were all very sick and skinny. We had very very bad eye infections. Drax’s eyes were not as bad as mine and little Nebula. Our eyes were so infected that they were terribly swollen and terribly painful. (We have pictures but they said we can’t show you those.) I have to say I was really grateful for the help we got; we couldn’t even see anything but we let the doctors take care of us without fussing at all.

Everyone tried really hard and we fought to get better but things didn’t go our way. We had to have BOTH eyes removed. It was scary at first, then we realized we still had each other, weren’t in pain anymore and the ugly infections were gone. That was just the beginning of the good news though, because shortly after our surgeries they told us we would be going to a new place called King Street Cats. We were pretty excited because we heard they are super nice and take excellent care of all their kitties; especially kitties like us who are a little different and need some extra help. Well let me tell you, all the stories we heard are true! They even found a foster home for us were we get to play, heal, and just be kittens.

I am Groot and as I said, I don’t have eyes anymore but it really doesn’t bother me because I can do everything any kitten can do and one of my favorite things is hanging out with Nebula, she is a great little sister. I may not be able to see but I still can find my way onto foster mom’s lap, which is a very comfy place to be. My little sister Nebula has something she wants to tell you.

Hello, my name is Nebula. I am lots smaller than my two brothers but I can still keep up with them. I was a bit sicker than them so I took a little longer to recover. It doesn’t matter though because I love to eat and play just like they do. My eyes might be gone but I have no trouble getting to my favorite snuggle spot on foster mom’s shoulder.

We like people lots. Because we are blind we wouldn’t do well around dogs. Foster mom says we are so gentle older children who understand our special situation would probably be ok.

Do we sound like the purrfect fit for your family? Do you have room in your heart and home for two wonderfully imperfect kitties? If so, we, Groot and Nebula,  would love to meet you and have the chance to tell you our stories in person.
