Hi there! I’m (Admiral) Ackbar. My foster mom told me to say “It’s a trap!” and that Star Wars fans would think it was funny. I’m an extremely handsome black kitty with a little white spot on my chest. I have super soft fur, big golden eyes, and a long luxurious tail.
I was found with my siblings at a feral colony when we were already a few months old. The nice woman who found us thought we had a chance to be adoptable kitties! We were lucky she gave us a chance, since some people may have thought we were too old. We were then even luckier to find a place with King Street Cats and a foster home. We were thankful to be inside, but really scared. Our foster mom was patient with us. She would sit and read to us and sing us silly songs (off key, but we appreciated the effort!). After a few days we stopped hiding and would come out to eat and play, and eventually to get pets and loves.
I was initially the shyest of my siblings when we got to our foster home. My foster mom could tell that I really wanted to be petted, but I was scared. Finally, I took a brave breath and leaned in. Turns out, I really love it! I flop over I like it so much! Ear scratches are the best! I make what my mom calls the “toofers” face when I get ear scratches - it’s like I’m smiling. I am a huge purr machine when I’m getting love. I have turned into a big time lap cat since that first pet. It’s my favorite place to be (besides watching birds out the window). I like to sit with my mom on the couch or bed and stretch out and lay upside down. I've been a big help to her while she’s been working from home. I also love to play! Wand toys and laser toys are my favorites.
I’ve become a curious and confident boy in my time here. I am now looking for another kitty to be my best friend, and a human (or humans!) to call my own. I get along well with other kitties and would make a great addition to your family. Although, as far as I've come, I’m not sure I’d be happy in a home with young kids. Loud noises are still a bit scary. Older kids and adults who have had kitties before would be purrrfect for me! Look forward to meeting you!
