Hello! My name is Olive Wigglesworth and I live up to my name. I have lots of energy and love playing and exploring. I’m an adorable brown tabby with some beautiful orange-yellow stripes on my side and tail. When I was a couple months old I was hit by a car and had to have my right eye removed, but otherwise I was fine. Only having one eye has not slowed me down in the slightest; if anything I’m probably more excited about life and try to get the most out of every single moment. I have two speeds – all out or out cold. I like to see how fast I can run up and down the stairs, or how fast I can go around a corner and slide on the hardwood floors. Jumping is a favorite activity…I like to pop up in the air like the foxes that hunt in the snow. I actually like to imitate a lot of animals – I’ll trot like a horse, swagger like a leopard, pounce like a tiger (see my tiger pose picture!!!), and sit regally like a lioness overlooking her territory. I have a loud purr motor to let you know when I’m happy…which is most of the time!
My sister, Tala, and I love to run, play, chase bugs, and wrestle (my cat wrestling name is “Miss Wiggy”). We chase each other and love to look out the window at the cars, birds, and squirrels. After playing hard, we then collapse together and take a good long nap. We like to be around our foster mom – we’ll take our games into whatever room she’s in. We also like to play chase or hide-and-seek with her (don’t tell her, but we leave our tails out in sight on purpose otherwise she’d never find us!!!) At night we love to sleep with our foster mom, and I’ll sleep between her side and her arm, all cuddled up.
We’ve been taught cat manners by our Uncle Stitch, so we know how to get along with other cats. We met a dog once, and I was working on understanding how something that big can be my friend and with a little more time I’m sure I would have been fine. If you have a dog, we would just need you to be with us until we’re comfortable on our own.
