Hi, my name is Spruce!
I’m just a tree kitty looking for a fun family to play with. I love to play with just about anything — and boy do I love back scratches and petting.
I’m not big on being picked up and I probably won’t want to sit in your lap, at least at first. I blame my foster mom for catching me and picking me up on all those days I needed medicine when my siblings and I were sick when we were tiny. Yuck, that stuff tasted awful! I’m still mad at her! We all had kitty colds after being born outside in the fall. I’m nice and healthy now, though, and if you promise to not catch me for yucky medicine I’ll happily follow you around and curl up next to you for petting. Foster mama thinks over time I’ll get more and more cuddly as I get less worried about that yucky medicine returning.
My favorite person right now is my teenage human foster sister — she gives me lots of attention and petting and tells me i'm handsome. I will happily follow her around the house for more attention. Don’t worry, I’ll be sure to let you know if you accidentally stop petting me too soon!
Foster mama says I am a bit mischievous and that she always knows who is to blame if she hears signs that one of us tree kitties is trying to get into something we shouldn’t. Hah! I didn’t grow all this black fluffy fur for nothing — working on my formal ninja training! I love to “borrow” small packages and toys and run them off to hide them somewhere else in the house.
Maybe you need a beautiful fluffy ninja kitty? I can promise to keep you laughing in exchange for some good back scratches…
