Hey everyone, Francine here,

I came to KSC from another shelter after being found badly injured and unable to use my back legs. I had a puncture wound on my shoulder and everyone thought another animal had gotten ahold of me and shaken me hurting my spine. My situation, however, was a bit more complicated.

After I came to King Street Cats I visited the neurologist and she said the first thing I need were x-rays of a different part of my back then had been previously done and also have my blood tested to see if anything showed up in those tests.

Well something did show up and now everybody knows the secret I had been keeping. You see, the puncture wound on my shoulder wasn’t from being bitten by an animal…it was an entry wound...I was shot and the pellet/bullet is right by my spine. That is why I have trouble with my legs. Now I don’t mind telling you things were pretty scary for a while and it did hurt lots but please don’t be too upset. I am doing so much better!

The neurologist looked at everything and said with the way things are healing I don’t need surgery or anything. I still have kind of a wonky walk but I think it adds to my charm! I am safe with King Street Cats and I get to stay in my foster home for as long as I need to but I sure would like to find my forever family! I am really lucky that I met so many other kitties, big and small,  in my foster home and they taught me all about how to play.

Because of my legs not being quite right the doctor said I should be in a home without stairs. I am playful and very affectionate. My foster says that I one of most charming and sweet kitties she has ever met! I wouldn’t be good with dogs or small children but I really like other cats!

So what do you think? Should be meet?
Whisker Kisses,
Francine
