Boots and his brothers were discovered as kittens on New Year’s Eve. They were living with their mother in a shuttered pool house in damp/freezing conditions. Clearly his start in life did not dampen his spirits! From the day he arrived at his foster home, it was clear that he was the most curious, adventurous, and affection kitten of the litter. He is so friendly with the two dogs and two adult cats n his foster home. All he wants is to be snuggled or groomed by the other animals in the house. Boots would do well in a home with other cats or with other dogs. He enjoys play and needs the stimulation of other animals otherwise he becomes bored and may follow you around the house looking for attention! He also LOVES to climb and jump to catch his feather toy. He can jump remarkably high for a cat his size! The one caveat is that Boots does not do well when held or when someone tries to pick him up. He will automatically go into ‘flight’ mode. With that said, he is never aggressive, never hisses at a new animal or person, and is extremely affectionate once he gets comfortable in a new situation. A stimulating household with other animals or children would likely be the best place for him.
