EXTRAORDINARY PAIR OF YOUNG BEAUTIES ARE SEEKING AN EXCEPTIONALLY LOVING HOME

Hello friends! My name is Sofie, and I am a gorgeous, silky jet-black young girl who came to King Street Cats having been rescued from the streets. I was shy and frightened (I'm still shy) but then something very special happened after I'd been at KSC for a few weeks: I met the most special little girl - and she needed me! She's a very petite girl kitten with exotic makings that will remind you of a Siamese or a Tonkinese or a Snowshow cat. Her name is Marshmallow.

She's exceptionally pretty and was even more frightened than I was - she was too small to have been away from her biological momma cat -- so I adopted her as my own! I became her feline mom - I look out for her, comfort her, snuggle her, clean her fur with kisses, and help her to understand the world even though I still have so much to learn myself. We are inseparable so we must be adopted together into the same home.

I was born in December 2012 so I am just about to turn two (2) years old. Marshmallow was born in late August 2014 so she's truly just a little kitten. Check out the photos of us for a size comparison – doesn't she look tiny compared to me? 

As I said, I am still shy but I have been learning from my volunteer friends here that receiving attention from soft, quiet, patient humans is really very enjoyable! I like to be petted (as long as you will approach me quietly). I can't wait until I have my own human(s) and feel safe all the time because I want more of this affection and I want to be able to return it to show my gratitude! Marshmallow and I hope that our special human(s) will have a lot of love and patience and understanding for our need to feel safe. We are not ready for a loud, busy environment. We're not ready for noisy children or aggressive animals. We would be thrilled to find a quiet home where we can explore our boundaries, develop our sense of safety, and continue to interact with you in exchange for our gratefulness and companionship.

When people hear the story of how small and scared Marshmallow was, how much she needed her feline mom, how I was moved to adopt her, picking up where her biological kitty mom left off, they are touched. We know this story has a happy ending where we go home to be loved and treasured and do all the fun things two young cats should do.
