Hello friends! My name is Cabbage, which in my native French language is a term of endearment meaning "cute," as in "cutie pie." In French, that's often said as "chou," which sounds like "shoe." I'm seeking a new home following a divorce and transcontinental journey - and I have so many wonderful qualities that I know you'll want to add your own terms of endearment as soon as you get to know me. I have all of the requirements of a very best friend, and I'm ready to be yours.

I was born nine (9) years ago in Geneva, Switzerland. I was raised on a lakefront property that had several swans - and I learned to "chirrup" and vocalize just like one of my swan friends! I was raised by a French-speaking family, but was later adopted by an American diplomat who brought me back to the United States and taught me conversational kitty English, such as "come," "down," "out," "good" and "hungry." (that last one is so useful!) Sadly, following a painful divorce, I am unable to remain with my American family now - and King Street Cats is generously assisting me in my quest for a new forever home.

I am healthy, playful and loyal! Nine years is nothing in cat terms - I look and act no different than a girl one half or one third my age. If anything, I've had that much more time to perfect my ability to be a wonderful family member. I will quietly sit by your feet as you cook, read or do paperwork. If you're watching TV on the couch, please move over! I love to watch a good show while cuddled up right next to my purrson.

I also love to look outside and enjoy a fresh breeze from the window or from an enclosed balcony. Never once have I ever scratched a screen nor chewed on my enclosure. I've had some practice walking on a leash while wearing my sturdy escape-proof feline harness. 

Like most cats, I love to sleep. During those times when you need to be off doing other human things, I will make sure to get my nap time in. At night, my bedtime is 9:30 regardless of what time zone I'm in! I love to snuggle in blankets and other warm, soft things. I demonstrate this for you in a few of my photos.

I am a friendly and bold girl and have no trouble greeting well-behaved children and strangers (whom I immediately convert to friends). I am the queen bee, and would most enjoy a household where I can be the only cat, however I have lived with other cats in the past and even a rabbit once. I am very gentle and wise and have no trouble being around small children and babies, but living in a noisy and rambunctious household might overwhelm me.

I am a gorgeous girl with plush, soft snowy white fur mostly on my tummy, undersides and paws and warm brown tabby patches on my back. You will love my bright, clear blue-green eyes. I have a lovely face with a pretty "tabby cap" on my head and a cute chocolate spot on my nose. I'm an all around beautiful girl and I am happy to pose for photos as you can see here. 

I've had a few of life's troubles to overcome. At one point I had an accident and lost part of my tail. I have a small nick in one ear. None of this gets me down however - I will "wiggle" my new bob-tail to show you my happiness - which is basically whenever you say my name and show me a little love! I will return it to you many times over, I promise.
