Hello friends! My name is Spook. I'm a silky jet black short haired boy who photo ought to appear in the dictionary next to the definition of the word "mellow." If you're in search of an affectionate, well-behaved young friend who loves to snuggle and cuddle and just relax - look no further. Here I am!

I was born in January 2011, which makes me a five (5) year old boy as of this posting in February 2016. That's a nice age at which to adopt me - I am young in age, young at heart, and yet mature enough to behave myself and give you the space you need when you want to relax - although I hope you'll always want to have me nearby because I really like my humans. I have a sleek, soft coat and bright almond shaped eyes that change from green to gold depending on the lighting conditions. 

My personality is low-key and laid back. I am the definition of "chill." I'm chilled out by nature and I'll share my sense of calm and tranquility with you. I have a gentle, even-tempered disposition and I am happiest when I'm near my human. I'm a curious boy who likes to know what you're up to but who knows better than to be in your face. I am very affectionate and love to be held by my new volunteer friends here at KSC. I snuggle up next to them and melt in their arms with the happiest of purrrrrs.

I like to nuzzle my human friends and "knead biscuits" in the soft cloths they may be wearing. If you are wearing a soft sweatshirt, especially one with a hood, I will crawl into your lap and up onto your shoulders and put my front paws to work. You may even become hypnotized by my happy purrrrr... I hope you'll want to hold me and settle in for some kitty cuddling whenever you need a smile.

I would do very well in a quiet, relaxed home with other mellow cats - but I'd also do fine on my own as your "one and only." I'm flexible! The most important thing to me is a dedicated, loving human who will praise me, appreciate me and give me all the affection I can soak up. In return, I'll be your relaxed companion and loyal friend.
