Complete An Adoption Application

GARFIELD IS HERE! LARGE AND LOVING BOY LOVES TO CHAT WITH HIS PEOPLE.

Hello friends! My name is Garfield - that's right, just like the big orange cartoon cat who offers his commentary on all things. I'm a people-loving boy whose humans had to give me up to due to allergies. I want nothing more than to find my new forever family and settle right in. 

I am six (6) years old, a nice young age for a friend who's full of life and yet mature enough to know the rules. I love my human friends and I am already chatting up a storm with the nice volunteers here at King Street Cats. I enjoy exploring the cat room here with its cat trees, boxes, cubby holes, fellow felines and visitors. You can see me visiting a fellow orange tabby friend in my photos. I'm asking him if he'd consider coming down from the cat tree he's in so I can try it it. As you can see, we're still in the negotiating phase!

You may have heard that orange male cats are known to be mellow, adaptable and companionable. That's me. I'm a handsome guy with honey-colored short soft fur full of lovely tabby stripes and swirls. I have big green eyes and a pink nosey with a little spot on it. 

I will need two favors from you: I need you to feed me a healthy diet in healthy proportions so that I can get my weight under control. You may remember how much the cartoon Garfield likes to eat. Well... me too, but I need some help in this regard. I'm not talking about anything special, expensive or troubling: just high quality food that's grain-free and not full of preservatives and additives (and whatever else allows dry kibbles to retain their man-made shapes) in reasonable portions. 

Secondly, I'll need your protection. I arrived at KSC without my front claws. While this may be good news for your furntiure, it means that I can't protect myself if I feel threatened. I'll need you to keep me indoors and safe from any threatening animals or people who don't know how to behave around kitties. 

In return, I will provide you with love, companionship and hours of endlessly fascinating conversation as I chatter away about the state of the world that we'll share.
